ABOUT US
Our Mission
To bring comfort, connection, and joy to children facing illness or foster care transitions through warm beanies, inspiring Beanie storybooks, and compassionate caregiver education.

Our Story
The Beanie Foundation began with a simple idea: one warm hat and one heartfelt story can change how a child feels—about their day, their challenges, even themselves. Inspired by the beloved character Beanie, we created an organization dedicated to helping children find courage and comfort when they need it most.

The Beanie’s Adventures book series was created by a hospice and palliative care registered nurse and a former foster child. The stories are based on her childhood nickname, Beanie, and on true moments from her life, bringing authenticity, hope, and encouragement to every page. Through her experiences, she shares messages of resilience, hope, empathy, and the power of feeling seen and supported.
.
Our Promise
No matter the struggle, every child deserves warmth, comfort, courage, and wonder. And we’re here to deliver exactly that.
What We Do
Inspire Through Storytelling
We share Beanie’s adventures with children who need encouragement, helping them see strength, bravery, and joy reflected in stories made just for them.
